The Admission Procedure is based on the Merit of the qualifying examination.

Admissions Through BOPEE.

Eligibility Criteria

1. Diploma in Engineering level courses (Ist Year)
Students should have passed the 10th standard/SSC examination and should have obtained at least 35% marks in the qualifying examination as prescribed by the All India Council for Technical Education, New Delhi, in the approval process handbook 2020-21. Apart from the above basic educational qualifications, the general eligibility criteria shall be as contained in the Punjab Government, Department of Technical Education and Industrial Training, Chandigarh Notification No. DTE-CBONOTI/1/2020-CONDUCT/ 574 Date 01-07- 2020 available on the Board’s website.

2. 2nd year of Diploma through Lateral Entry
I. Candidates who have passed the 10+2 Examination with Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects, along with Mathematics/Biology as a subject.

II. OR 10+2 Science (with Mathematics as one of the subjects) or 10+2 Science with Technical Vocational as a subject.

III. OR 10th+2 years ITI Course with appropriate trade in that order shall be eligible for admission to second-year Diploma courses of the appropriate program. Admission to LEET seats shall be made based on relative merit in the qualifying examination mentioned above. It is further provided that seats remaining unfilled based on the eligibility criteria mentioned above shall be filled based on inter-semerit.

IV. 10+2 Vocational examination in various branches from a board recognized or established by the Central /State Government through legislation.

V. Two-year certificate course from Sant Longowal Institute of Engg. and Technology, Longowal, and Punjab Domicile.

VI. Two-year certificate course in Skill Technician (Machinist), Skill Technician (Machine Maintenance) & Quality Insurance Inspector from R&D Centre for Bicycle & Sewing Machine, Ludhiana.

The Candidate Passed the 10th Std./ SSC examination. Obtained at least 35% marks in the qualifying examination.
