Candidates who offer English/Hindi/History/Geography/Biological or Physical .Science/Maths as Method must have cleared the subject at the bachelors or master's degree level.

Candidates who offer "Civics" as a method should have studied History, Pol. Sc. Sociology, Anthropology, Economics or Commerce at the Degree Level.

Those candidate who have passed their Degree Examination in Science with Subject other than Mathematics may be permitted to offer Mathematics as their "Method" subject.

Candidates with at least fifty percent marks either in the Bachelor’s Degree and Master's Degree in Sciences/Social Sciences/Humanities, Bachelor's in Engineering or Technology with specialization in Science and Mathematics with 55% marks or any other qualification, equivalent thereto, are eligible for admission to the program.
