    Eligibility Criteria

    1. Minimum education eligibility criteria for admission to GNM,
    • 10+2 with English and must have obtained a minimum of 40% at the qualifying examination and English individually from any recognized board. Candidates are also eligible for state open schools recognized by the State Government and the National Institute of Open Schools (NIOS), recognized by the central government. However, Science is preferable.
      • 10+2 with English, having 40% of marks in the vocational ANM course from a school recognized by the Indian Nursing Council.
      • 10+2 with English, having 40% of marks in the vocational Stream-Healthcare Science from a recognized CBSE Board/State/Centre.
      • Registered ANM with a pass mark.

    Candidates should have passed 10+2 or its equivalent examination from a recognised board with minimum 45% marks in aggregate (Relaxableby 40% for S.C. & S.T. candidates). Working knowledge of English is necessary.  Candidate should have passed Punjabi in Matric Exam otherwise have to pass before clearing the course. Applicant should be unmarried girl, widow or divorce without encumbrance (Required documents to be produced). Candidate should be Medically Fit.  Candidate should submit a medical certificate from a Senior Medical Officer/Civil Surgeon.
