The admission is based on the Through Entrance Test.

The candidate registered for a particular program, after being examined of his/her eligibility, based on his merit and availability of seats, shall be sent an offer letter.

• Candidates with at least 50% marks in a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Science/Social Science/Humanities/Agriculture/Commerce or equivalent are eligible for admission to the B.Ed. (Special Education) program. Additionally, candidates with at least 55% marks in a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or Technology with a specialization in Science and Mathematics, or any equivalent qualification, are eligible for admission.
• Only those candidates will be eligible for admission to B.Ed (Special Education) programme who have either passed the graduation examination from a recognized university with the following two subjects or have taken one of the following subjects at graduation and one subject at intermediate level - Hindi, English, Physics, Chemistry, Zoology, Botany, Mathematics, Home Science, History, Geography, Political Science, Psychology, Sociology, Economics and Commerce.
• Candidates who qualify the entrance examination will be given a maximum of 10 additional marks in the marks obtained in the entrance examination if they fulfill any one or more of the following conditions.
• (a) be the parent of a child with a disability (in case of a parent of a child with a disability, a clear certificate of relationship with the child must be submitted). or,
• (b) is himself disabled, or,
• (c) Passed a course recognized by RCI.
• Candidates eligible for receiving the surcharge are required to produce (a) a certificate of 40% or more disability of the child issued by the authorized authority i.e. District Chief Medical Officer of any district in Uttar Pradesh (b) a certificate of 40% or more disability of the self issued by the authorized authority i.e. District Chief Medical Officer of any district in Uttar Pradesh (c) certificate/mark sheet of the course recognized by RCI along with RCI registration certificate.

Note:-

1. Qualification should be completed on the date of admission counselling, and for this, mark sheet/certificate and other required certificates should be submitted on the prescribed format.

2. In case the candidate is the mother or father of a disabled child, a clear certificate of the candidate's relationship with the child will have to be submitted.

Only candidates from the Other Backward Classes/Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes/Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) of Uttar Pradesh will receive reservations as per the Uttar Pradesh government. Candidates from other states will be given reservations under the EWS/OBC/Scheduled Castes/Open Category categories.

Admission to tribal candidates is unreserved.

As per RCI Norms, "(a) Candidates with at least fifty percent marks either in the Bachelors Degree and/or in the Masters degree in Sciences/ Social Sciences/ Humanities, Bachelor’s in Engineering or Technology with specialization in Science and Mathematics with 55 % marks or any other qualification equivalent thereto, are eligible for admission to the programme. (b) The reservation and relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/PWD and other categories shall be as per the rules of the Central Government/ State Government, whichever is applicable. "
