The Admission will be based on merit.

The Admission to various engineering courses shall be made through online counseling on the basis of merit 10th Examination.

A candidate seeking admission to a Diploma in Engineering should have passed the 10th or High School Examination or its equivalent of an approved Board with the second year marks obtained in +2. 

Lateral Entry

1. ITI with two years (who have passed the 10th level school leaving examination before admission to ITI courses) with a minimum of 60% marks from any institution of Punjab/another state.

2.10+2 vocational examination in various branches with a minimum of 60% marks from any institution of Punjab/another state.

3.10+2 science with a minimum of 60% marks from any institution of Punjab/Other state.

4. Two-year certificate course with a minimum of 60% marks from SLIET longwall and have A Punjab Domicile. In the event of vacancies being unfilled, candidates who have passed the ITI at least one year (who have passed the 10th level school leaving examination before admission to ITI courses) or 10+2 Board shall also be eligible to be considered for admission.

The minimum educational qualifications for admission to these courses are as under: -

• For a three-year Diploma in Civil/Electrical/Mechanical/Electronics & Communication/ Computer/ Production & Industrial Engineering and Arch. Assistantship Course.
• A candidate having passed 2 2-year of Junior Technical Certificate Course by the State Board of Technical Education, Punjab shall also be considered for admission on merit with matriculates.

Admission in second-year diploma courses under LEET (Lateral Entry Engineering Test) is reserved, which is over and above the sanctioned intake. The admission to these seats shall be done by PSBTE & IT. The number of seats and educational qualification shall be strictly as per the notification issued by the Punjab Government from time to time.

Note: - For admission to all the above courses, there is no age limit.
