Admissions to the four-year B.Tech. Program in CSE of the Institute is made through the examination conducted by the National Testing Agency under the name and style of JEE (Main). Based upon the merit in the written examination, the Central Counseling Board of JEE (Main) known as the Central Seat Allocation Board (CSAB) invites candidates for counseling at selected centers, and seats for various participating institutions are allotted, based upon individual merit.

The candidate has passed 10+2 examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Biology/ Technical Vocational subjects/ Computer Science/ Information Technology/ Informatics Practices/ Agriculture/ Engineering Graphics/ Business Studies. Obtained at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates belonging to the reserved category) in the above subjects taken together. OR Passed Diploma (in Engineering and Technology) examination with at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates belonging to the reserved category), subject to vacancies in the First Year, in case the vacancies at lateral entry are exhausted.

Must have passed class XII (or equivalent) Board examination with a minimum of five subjects and secured at least 75% aggregate marks. The aggregate marks for SC, ST and PwD candidates should be at least 65%.
