    Admission Details

    The admission process at IIM Nagpur for the MBA (2026-28) will be carried out in 3 stages. It will consider the candidate’s performance in Common Admission Test (CAT) 2025, Past Academic Performance (PAP), Work Experience (WE), Gender Diversity (GDI), and performance in Personal Interview (PI) Process. The details are mentioned in the following sections.

    • Stage 1: Candidates who have appeared for CAT 2025 will be first screened for eligibility as per the CAT cut-offs decided by the IIM Nagpur. Candidates who clear the IIM Nagpur CAT cut-off would be intimated by email and asked to fill an application form for IIM Nagpur.
    • Stage 2: Candidates who meet the CAT cut-offs and have filled the application form for IIM Nagpur within the deadline will move to Stage 2, where Shortlisting Score (SS) will be calculated for all such candidates. An SS-based shortlist will be generated to call candidates for Stage 3- Personal Interview (PI) Process.
    • Stage 3: Candidates who appear for the PI process will be considered for this stage, where the Final Score (FS) will be calculated. Admission offers will be sent to the candidates based on their FS.

    Eligibility Criteria

    • An undergraduate/ bachelor's degree with a min aggregate of 50%( 45% for SC/ST/PWD quota).
    • The undergraduate degree obtained by the candidate must comprise of a minimum of three years of education after the higher secondary schooling (10+2) or equivalent.
    • In case the candidate is awarded CGPA, the equivalent percentage would be based on the methodology provided by the institution/university from where the undergraduate degree was obtained.
    • Candidates appearing in their final year of under graduation can also apply for the IIMs candidature, provided the Head of the Institution provides a certified document stating the concerned details.             

    Candidates of the above criteria will not be eligible for admission if he/she does not submit a certificate latest by June 30, from the principal/head of the department/registrar/director of the institution/university (issued on or before June 30) stating that they have completed all of the required (the result can be awaited) for obtaining the undergraduate degree/equivalent qualification on the date of issue of the certificate.

    Overseas candidate- 

    • Undergraduate degree or higher (in any discipline) with a minimum of three years’ duration from a university recognized as equivalent by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU), with a minimum of 50% marks or equivalent GPA.
    • A valid Graduate Management Aptitude Test (GMAT) score, a minimum score of 600.
