    Eligibility Criteria

    • The candidate should be a citizen of India.
    • A candidate should have completed the age of 17 years at the time of admission or would complete the said age on or before 31st December of the year of admission to the first BHMS degree course. 
    • Candidates should have passed in all the subjects of the qualifying examination of the Higher Secondary Certificate Examination (Academic) conducted by the Tamil Nadu State Board in one and the same attempt in the following group of subjects with the minimum eligible marks. (Improvement marks will not be considered) Physics, Chemistry, Botany and Zoology (or) Physics, Chemistry, Biology with any other subject.

    1. To be eligible for admission to BHMS Degree Course, a candidate must have passed in 10+2 / H.Sc. (or) its equivalent examination with subjects of Physics, chemistry, Biology / Biotechnology and English individually and must have obtained a minimum of 50% Marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry, Biology / Biotechnology at the Qualifying Examination mentioned in CCH Regulations, 1983 as amended in 2018 / NCH and in addition, must have come in the merit list of NEET - UG for admission to BHMS Degree Course. In respect of the candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC categories, the marks obtained in PCB / Biotechnology taken together in the qualifying Examinations must be 40% marks instead of 50%. In respect of candidates with PWD (Persons with Disabilities) the minimum marks shall be 45% for general and 40% for SC/ST/OBC category.
    2. In order to become eligible for admission to BHMS Degree Course for a particular academic year, it shall be necessary for a candidate to obtain minimum of 50th percentile marks in NEET UG. However, in respect of candidates belonging to SC/ ST/OBC category the minimum marks must be 40th percentile and PWD (Persons with Disabilities) candidates the minimum marks shall be 45th Percentile for general category and 40th Percentile for SC/ST/OBC category.
