Admission Details
Admission to a four-year graduate diploma program is done through a common written entrance test conducted across the country in major cities for all NIDs together. Shortlisted candidates of the written test will be called for a studio-test and personal interview for final selection.
The objective is to seek evidence of the perception, attitude, aptitude, achievement, and motivation essential in a potential design student. All candidates applying for the GDPD Programme are required to sign up online before proceeding to fill the relevant application forms at

All applicants applying for the B.Des. programmes must fulfill criteria of both age and education qualification.

Applications for academic year 2021-22 are open to applicants who have passed or will appear for higher secondary (10+2) qualifying examinations in the academic year 2020-21 in any stream (Science, Arts, Commerce, Humanities, etc.) from any recognised board of education such as CBSE, IB, ICSE or their equivalent.
Examinations considered equivalent to these are as follows:
