    3.2,1 Under General and Reservation Quota: Admission to B. V.Sc & AH under general & reservation quota shall be made through K-CET as notified by the Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA;/Gok) from time to time.

    3.2.2 Under Agriculture Quota: 'Agriculturist' means a person who, as owner or as tenant, holds land and includes all those whose main source of income is from personal cultivation of land or manual labor in Agricultural land or Animal Husbandry or Fisheries activities as specified in section 7 (3) of the KVAFSU Act 2004. The seats under this quota will be filled up by 10, conducting practical tests as determined and specified in the prospectus from time to time.

    3,2,3 Under VCI Quota: 15% of seats in each constituent Veterinary Colleges of KVAFSU, Bidar, shall be as per the allotment made by the Veterinary Council of India (VCI) based on NEET Score.

    Eligibility Criteria

    • The candidate who desired to be admitted under the 15 % VCI quota, has to appear for the All India Common Entrance Examination conducted by the Veterinary Council of India, New Delhi each year. The notification in this regard is published by VCI, New Delhi in the leading News Papers and on the website of VCI.
    • The admissions for B.V.Sc. & A.H usually starts after the result of NEET is declared every year.
    • The desirous student should apply in the prescribed Application Form provided by the University in the prospectus with the necessary documents as listed on the online mode.
    • The Student is eligible to undergo 6 months compulsory internship program only after successful completion of the course curriculum.

    3.1 ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR ADMISSION: The candidates to be eligible for admission to B. V. Sc. and A.H., the degree programme of the University, should possess the following requirements:

    1. The candidates should have completed the minimum age of 17 years and the maximum age of 25 years as on or before 31 December of the year of Admission to the I year of B.V.Sc. & AH course, and there shall be relaxation of maximum age by five years for Scheduled Caste or Scheduled Tribe, or Other Backward Class candidates.

    2. The candidates should have passed and scored a minimum of 50% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology or Biotechnology, and English of the Second year PUC of Karnataka Pre-University Board or its equivalent examination. However, a relaxation of 10% is admissible for the candidates belonging to SC/ST and Cat-I (i.e., 40%).

    3. The selection of students for admission to B. V. Sc. and A.H. shall only be based on merit through a competitive entrance examination. Appearing for the common entrance test is mandatory. Applicants claiming under the VCI quota are exempted from taking the common entrance test conducted/adopted by the University. However, the candidates claiming admission under the Foreign National / NRI's children / NRI sponsored / Kashmiri migrants quota have to take an entrance examination conducted by the University.

    4. A candidate shall not be allowed admission to the Bachelor of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry degree course, including those admitted under the 15% reserved quota of the Veterinary Council of India, if he or she suffers from the following disabilities, namely:

    a. disability of the total body, including disability of the chest or spine of more than 50%,

    b. disability of the lower limb of more than 50%, disability of the upper limb,

    d. visually handicapped candidates and those with hearing disability,

    e. Candidates with progressive diseases like myopathies, etc.

    f. Disabilities which otherwise would interfere with the performance of the duties of a veterinarian.
