1. Candidates aspiring for the MSW Programme should have completed Graduation

(10+2+3) from any of the UGC approved universities in India or abroad.

2. The minimum percentage for marks at the Graduation Course for eligibility to MSW

the admission process is as follows:

•  50% for General Category candidates
• 45% for the candidates from Catholic Minority, SC, ST, OBC, and PwD

The student should pass minimum requirement for admission to the MSW degree programme of the University of Pune is a Bachelor’s degree of a minimum of 3 years' duration in Arts, Science, Commerce, Law, Home Science or any other faculty of a recognized University. Higher academic degrees or diplomas in Social Sciences and experience of working with people will be an additional qualification. 2.2 Candidates who have appeared for the qualifying Bachelor’s degree examinations in April/May 2026 and whose results are awaited are also eligible for admission. Admissions of such candidates will be provisional and will be confirmed only after passing the graduation degree examination and on submission of the final mark sheet. Submission of the mark sheet to the Office within the stipulated time is essential for confirming the admission. 2.3 Candidates working or deputed by State / Central / Union Tertiary Government / Public Sector or Private/ NGO and Civil Society organizations should apply through proper channel with appropriate NOC (No Objection Certificate) from the concerned authority. 2.4 Those Candidates are employed by State /Central / Union Tertiary Government / Public Sector Working or Private NGO and Civil Society organization mandatory to submit NOC (No Objection Certificate) along with admission form. If the candidate fails to submit NOC (No Objection Certificate), the candidate's admission form will not be processed and will be treated as cancelled. 2.5 If it is found that the information given by the candidate is incorrect or misleading or if ineligibility is detected before or after the admission, his/her candidature/admission will be cancelled. 2.6 Candidates should submit Eligibility documents within the stipulated time.
