The WBSCTE publishes the Merit List suitably based on the valid applications received. Selection is made according to the merit position of the candidate in the merit list of JEXPO, followed by counseling. A candidate whose name appears in both the merit lists can be selected for only one course based on any one merit position, according to his/her choice.

Admission to 1st year through the entrance examination JEXPO

The candidate has passed the 10th Std./ SSC examination. Obtained at least 35% marks in the qualifying examination.

The candidate must have passed Secondary/Madhyamik Examination of the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education or its equivalent examination with English, Physical Science/Science, and Mathematics, among others as subjects, securing at least 35% marks (no rounding up). Age: At least 15 years and there is no upper age limit.
