Direct admission process. Under this system, seats are allotted to eligible candidates on a first-come, first-served basis.

A person, who has passed Higher Secondary/Intermediate (10+2) with Science With Biology Group or any other examination recognized as equivalent thereto, shall be eligible for the course.

• A candidate who has passed the qualifying examination after appearing in the supplementary examination conducted by the board shall be eligible for admission in the current academic year on vacant seats declared under rule 20.
•  A candidate who has passed the qualifying examination from other than Gujarat Board and CBSE from outside Gujarat state shall be required to obtain Provisional Eligibility Certificate (PEC) from Gujarat University before registration.
