The selection of students for the BPT course is strictly on a merit basis as decided by the competent authority approved by the Government of Kerala/Kerala University of Health Sciences.

• Candidates seeking admission to the BPT Programme (4 1/2 years) should have completed 17 years of age, as of the 31st December of the year of admission.
• Students with a science background (Physics/ Chemistry/ Biology) at the 10+2/ equivalent level can only opt for a career in Physiotherapy. The candidate should secure 50% marks in each of these subjects as well as in English.
• The candidate before admission to the course shall furnish to the Principal of the Institution, a Certificate of Medical Fitness from an authorized government medical officer to the effect that the candidate is physically fit to undergo the course.
• Selection shall be made only based on norms prescribed by the Government and the University from time to time

Candidates who have passed the Higher Secondary Examination of the Board of Higher Secondary Education or equivalent, have a minimum of 80% marks.
