The merit position of the candidate will be based on the percentile score obtained by the candidate in Admission Test for IcfaiTech (ATIT), conducted by IcfaiTech, Hyderabad. The medium of instruction for all the programs at IcfaiTech is English. The final selection of a candidate is based entirely on merit, his/her preferences, facilities, and availability of seats.

• Admission to the UGP shall be made either on the basis of the merit rank obtained by the qualifying candidate at an Entrance Test conducted by the Telangana State Government (EAMCET), OR the University, OR on the basis of any other order of merit approved by the University, subject to reservations as prescribed by the Government from time to time.
• The medium of instructions for the entire UGP in E&T will be English only.

Passed 10+2 examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Biology/ Technical Vocational subject/ Computer Science/ Information Technology/ Informatics Practices/ Agriculture/ Engineering Graphics/ Business Studies. Obtained at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) in the above subjects taken together. OR Passed Diploma (in Engineering and Technology) examination with at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) subject to vacancies in the First Year, in case the vacancies at lateral entry are exhausted.
