Admission Details
The admission is based on the merit in the Engineering and Medical Common Entrance Test (EAMCET) conducted by Govt. of Andhra Pradesh.
UG PROGRAM: CAT-A admissions: Qualified and eligible candidates APEAMCET and participated in web counseling are informed to exercise options for allotment of seats in colleges. Students are allotted seats satisfying merit and reservation policy.
LATERAL ENTRY: ECET-qualified students are admitted into the second year of the UG program. 20% of sanctioned intake seats are available for lateral entry.
Eligibility Criteria
The minimum qualification for admission to first year of the B.Tech course is a pass in the Intermediate (10 + 2) conducted by the board of Intermediate education, Govt. of Andhra Pradesh with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry as optional subjects.
1 . 70 % of the seats are allotted based on the merit in the Engineering and Medical Common Entrance Test (EAMCET) conducted by Govt. of Andhra Pradesh.
2 . 30 % of the seats are earmarked for Management Quota candidates.
3 . In addition to the above, Diploma holders are admitted in second year of B.Tech to the extent of 10% of intake based on the merit in the Engineering Common Entrance Test (ECET), under lateral entry scheme conducted by Govt. of Andhra Pradesh.
The Candidate should pass the 10+2 examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Biology/ Technical Vocational subject/ Computer Science/ Information Technology/ Informatics Practices/ Agriculture/ Engineering Graphics/ Business Studies. Obtained at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) in the above subjects taken together. OR Passed Diploma (in Engineering and Technology) examination with at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) subject to vacancies in the First Year, in case the vacancies at lateral entry are exhausted.
