Category-A seats constitute 70% of the total seats available in the College/branch. These seats are filled by the Convener, EAMCET. 

Category-B seats constitute 30% of the total available seats. These seats are filled by the College Management as per guidelines of APSCHE. Following a definite procedure, the Management maintains total transparency in filling the seats. The admissions are on the basis of the rank obtained in the EAMCET / marks obtained in the qualifying Examination at +2 stage

• 70% of seats are filled through the common entrance test (EAMCET) Conducted by the Government of Andhra Pradesh
• 30% of seats are filled Under Management Quota, Seats are filled based on a minimum of 60% marks attained in the Intermediate Examination OR based on the EAMCET rank of the Candidate.
• As per Government of Andhra Pradesh norms, decided by AP Government Year to Year. The Government of Andhra Pradesh fixed the minimum cut-off marks depending upon the number of candidates qualified.  

Passed 10+2 examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Biology/ Technical Vocational subject/ Computer Science/ Information Technology/ Informatics Practices/ Agriculture/ Engineering Graphics/ Business Studies. Obtained at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) in the above subjects taken together. OR Passed Diploma (in Engineering and Technology) examination with at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) subject to vacancies in the First Year, in case the vacancies at lateral entry are exhausted.
