The admission is through merit ranking in the Calcutta University Law Entrance Test (CULET). Based on this merit ranking, candidates are allotted seats through a counselling process conducted by the University of Calcutta.

Candidates must have passed 10+2 or its equivalent with at least 45% marks in the best four subjects (Excluding Environmental Studies of WBCHSE) and at least 40% marks in the best four subjects (Excluding Environmental Studies of WBCHSE) for SC/ST/Person With Disability (Disability 40% or more) from the Board recognized by the University of Calcutta

The Candidate should have (10+2) Level Marks obtained from the Board recognized by the University of Calcutta:   At least 45% marks in the best four subjects. (Excluding compulsory Environmental Studies of WBCHSE). SC/ST/OBC-A/OBC-B/PERSON WITH DISABILITY (Disability 40% or more): At least 40% marks in the best four subjects.
