Mandatory Entrance Examination to be taken – K-CET/COMED-K
Eligibility Criteria
A candidate who has passed the Karnataka 2nd PUC / 12th Std. / 10+2 / Intermediate or equivalent Qualifying Examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with Chemistry / Bio‐Technology / Biology / Electronics / Computer Science as optional subjects with English as one of the languages of study and obtained an aggregate minimum of 45% marks.
For SC, ST, Category I and OBC (2A, 2B, 3A and 3B) Category candidates, the minimum marks are 40% in aggregate.
Provided that the marks obtained by the candidate in Bio‐Technology / Biology / Electronics / Computer Science will be considered in place of Chemistry, in case the marks obtained in Chemistry are less for required aggregate percentage, only for determination of eligibility and not for determination of rank, in respect of Engineering / Technology courses.
For GM:
FOR SC/ST & OBC (Cat-I, 2A, 2B, 3A 3B) CATEGORY CANDIDATES:
A candidate who has Passed in 2nd PUC / 12 Std / Equivalent Examination with English as one of the Language and obtained a Minimum of 40% of Marks in aggregate in Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with Chemistry / Bio Technology / Biology / Computer Science / Electronics as optional subjects in the qualifying examination is eligible to pursue in BE.
The marks obtained by the candidate in Biotechnology/Biology/Computer Science / Electronics in the qualifying examination will be considered in place of Chemistry in case the marks obtained in Chemistry are less than the required aggregate percentage for the pursuit of determination of eligibility.
