The process of selection criteria for students interested in pursuing B. Tech in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning offered by UPES is based on the individual's performance in UPESEAT / JEE Mains / Board Merit / SAT / CUET.

• Passed with Minimum 45% marks (40% for SC/ST) in 12th PUC/ISC/CBSE OR Equivalent Board with Physics and Mathematics as Compulsory Subjects with Chemistry/Electronics/Computer Science /Biology
• IB students should get minimum 26 credits to qualify for the course
• Cambridge students must study 3 subjects at ‘A’ Level (Advanced level) including Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics
• Candidates who have completed 12th or equivalent exams or final year students of class XII or its equivalent, awaiting examination results may also apply
• NIOS candidates are eligible to apply

Board Merit

• Minimum 80% in Class X and XII
• Minimum 80% in PCM (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics) in Class XII

JEE Mains

• 50 percentile for all B.Tech specialisations except B.Tech (Mathematics and Computing)
• 60 percentile for B.Tech (Mathematics and Computing)
