Only candidates on the basis of merit/rank accessed in the Engineering Entrance Examination conducted by the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations, Government of Kerala, alone have been selected for admission.

• Allotment to 95% seats of the annual intake is made by the Commissioner for the Entrance examination (CEE), Government of Kerala from the rank list of Kerala Engineering Entrance examination conducted every year by Govt. of Kerala. • 5% of seats are reserved for non-resident Indians (NRI seats). For NRI admission, separate applications are invited by IHRD, and a rank list is prepared on the basis of qualifying examination, and students are admitted from this rank list

Candidates included in the entrance rank list published by CEE, Kerala and admission to the Engineering course should otherwise satisfy the rules regarding the minimum academic requirements in the qualifying examination enumerated as follows: a) Higher Secondary Examination/equivalent: Pass with 50% marks in Mathematics and 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics put together. b)3-year Diploma engineering/equivalent: Pass with 50% in marks in the final Diploma examination.

The Candidates who have passed Higher Secondary Examination, Kerala, or Examinations recognized as equivalent thereto, with 50 % marks in Mathematics separately and 45 % marks in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry / Biotechnology / Computer Science / Biology taken together are eligible for admission.
