The Eligibility Criteria for admission to B.Tech Programme is mentioned in Clause 6 Criteria of Eligibility for Admission in the Prospectus of KEAM every year issued by Government of Kerala and the amendments issued by Government from time to time.

The institution offers Bachelor's Degree Programs [4-year duration] under the affiliation of APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University. The Merit quota [60%] and Management quota [35%] seats are solely allotted by the Commissioner of Entrance Exams, Kerala [as per KEAM Rank].

All the candidates who have passed 10+2 class of State Government Boards in India and Overseas boards approved by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) are eligible for getting admission to B.Tech Courses.

Passed 10+2 examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Biology/ Technical Vocational subjects/ Computer Science/ Information Technology/ Informatics Practices/ Agriculture/ Engineering Graphics/ Business Studies. Obtained at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) in the above subjects taken together. OR Passed Diploma (in Engineering and Technology) examination with at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) subject to vacancies in the First Year, in case the vacancies at lateral entry are exhausted.

Eligibility criteria for NRI Quota:

• Candidates who have passed the Higher Secondary Examination of the Board of Higher Secondary Education, Kerala or an examination recognized equivalent thereto, with 45 % marks in Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry or / Computer Science / Biotechnology / Biology put together are eligible for Management and NRI seats of B Tech courses.
• SC/ST candidates need only a pass in the qualifying examination for admission to B Tech courses.
• No entrance test is required for getting admission to the B Tech course under NRI Quota.
• Candidates seeking NRI Quota should be a Child/Ward/Dependent of an NRI and should enclose a declaration form and employment certificate from the NRI who sponsors the applicant (form enclosed as Annexure I).
