Admission Details
Admission is based on KEAM entrance exam.
UG Programs. 50% of the seats are filled by the Government through CENTAC, and 50% of the seats are filled by the management.
Eligibility Criteria
A pass in the Higher Secondary Examination of the University in Kerala State or Examinations considered equivalent there to with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry as optional subjects with a minimum of 50% marks in Mathematics only and 50% marks in Mathematics, Physics Chemistry put together.
Candidates seeking admission to the B.Tech. degree course should have passed the H.Sc. (Academic) examination conducted by the Board of Higher Secondary Examination of Tamil Nadu, or any other equivalent examination thereto, with a minimum of 45% marks (40% marks for OBC / BCM / MBC / EBC / BT / SC / ST -candidates) in aggregate, in the prescribed subjects, namely, Mathematics, Physics and any one of the following optional subjects: Chemistry / Bio-Technology / Computer Science / Biology (Botany & Zoology).
Lateral Entry:
The minimum qualification for admission is a pass in the three-year diploma or four-year sandwich diploma course in engineering/technology with a minimum of 50% marks (45% marks for reserved category) in aggregate in the subjects covered from 3rd to final semester or a pass in any B.Sc. course from a recognized University as defined by the UGC, with a minimum of 50% marks (45% marks for reserved category) and passed XII standard with Mathematics as a subject.
For Lateral Entry admission to the second year of a degree program, candidates should not have completed 24 years as of 1st July of the academic year under consideration. In the case of SC/ST candidates, the age limit is relaxable by 3 years for both cases.
