Admission Details

Admission will be purely based on the marks secured in the DRUET, conducted by DRIEMS University. The candidates who have secured valid Ranks in the National / State Level Entrance (JEE Main rank), too, are eligible to take part in the counseling process.

For admission into the 1st year B.Tech program, a student must appear in the JEE-Main conducted by CBSE. JEE -Main Entrance Examination is the only way to take admission into the 1st-year B.Tech Programme.
A student has to appear O-JEE to take admission.

Eligibility Criteria

Passed 10+2 examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the subjects- Chemistry / Biotechnology / Biology / IT / Computers. Obtained at least 45% marks (40% in case of a candidate belonging to the reserved category) in the above subjects taken together.

B. TECH - Lateral Entry:

Passed diploma examination from a board/university-approved institution, with at least 45% marks (40% in case of candidates belonging to the reserved category) in an appropriate branch of Engineering / Technology. Passed a B.Sc. degree from a recognized university as defined by UG, with at least 45% marks (40% in case of candidates belonging to the reserved category) and passed Xil standard with mathematics as a subject.

First Year:

Passed in 10+2 Science examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry/Biotechnology/Biology/ Technical Vocational subjects with a minimum of 45% marks (40% in case of a candidate belonging to the reserved category).

Lateral Entry (2nd Year) for Diploma:

Passed in three-year diploma examination (two years in case of Lateral entry Diploma) in Engineering/Technology/ from the State Council of Technical Education and Training (SCTE&VT), Odisha or from an AICTE-approved Institute / from a recognized University as defined by UGC with at least 45% marks (40% in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST category) in appropriate branch of Engineering / Technology.

Lateral Entry (2nd Year) for B.Sc/+3 Sc. Students:

Passed Bachelor’s Degree examination of three years duration in Science from any University of Odisha or a recognized University as defined by UGC, with at least 45% marks (40% in case of candidates belonging to ST/SC category) and must have passed XII standard with Mathematics as a subject.
