The selection will be based on the JEE Main Common Rank List (CRL) of the respective academic session, subject to candidates fulfilling the above-mentioned minimum eligibility criteria. 

• For admission into the 1st year B.Tech program, a student must appear in the JEE-Main conducted by CBSE. JEE -Main Entrance Examination is the only way to take admission into the 1st-year B.Tech Programme.
• A student has to appear O-JEE to take admission.

All students who pass 10+2 or equivalent with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with Computer Science/ IT/ Chemistry / Biochemistry/ Biology as one of the optional subjects from a recognised Indian Board can apply for admissions. Applying students must have secured a minimum of 45% aggregate marks in Physics and Mathematics along with their chosen optional subject. Students from Scheduled Tribe and Scheduled Caste communities should have secured an aggregate minimum of 40% marks.

First Year:

• Passed in 10+2 Science examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry/Biotechnology/Biology/ Technical Vocational subjects with a minimum of 45% marks (40% in case of a candidate belonging to the reserved category).

Lateral Entry (2nd Year) for Diploma:

• Passed in three-year diploma examination (two years in case of Lateral entry Diploma) in Engineering/Technology/ from the State Council of Technical Education and Training (SCTE&VT), Odisha or from an AICTE-approved Institute / from a recognized University as defined by UGC with at least 45% marks (40% in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST category) in appropriate branch of Engineering / Technology.

Lateral Entry (2nd Year) for B.Sc/+3 Sc. Students:

• Passed Bachelor’s Degree examination of three years duration in Science from any University of Odisha or a recognized University as defined by UGC, with at least 45% marks (40% in case of candidates belonging to ST/SC category) and must have passed XII standard with Mathematics as a subject.
