Admission shall be made on merit based on marks obtained in the qualifying examination and/or in the entrance examination or any other selection process as per the policy of the state government/U.T. Administration and the university.

• The Candidates with at least 50% marks either in the Bachelor’s Degree and/or in the Master’s Degree in Arts/Sciences are eligible for admission to the program.
• Candidates with at least 55% marks in either a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Technology with a specialization in Science and Mathematics are eligible for admission to the two-year B.Ed. degree program. All the B.E./B.Tech./M.E./M.Tech. graduates, irrespective of their Branch in Engineering are eligible to study either Mathematics or Physical Science as the pedagogy of a School Subject. Apart from the B.E./B.Tech./M.E./M.Tech., graduates in Computer Science-related branches and Bio-Technology related branches are also eligible to study Computer Science and Biological Science as Pedagogy of a School Subject, respectively.

Candidates with at least fifty percent marks either in the bachelor's Degree and master's Degree in Sciences/Social Sciences/Humanities, Bachelor's in Engineering or Technology with specialization in Science and Mathematics with 55% marks or any other qualification, equivalent thereto, are eligible for admission to the program.
