Admission shall be on a merit basis of marks obtained in the qualifying examination and or in the entrance examination or any other selection process as per the policy of the State Government/UT administration and the University.

• Reservation of seats for admission will be as per the rules of the Bihar Government.
• All the seats for admission will be through the entrance examination conducted by the Bihar Board only.

The Candidates with at least 50% marks in the higher secondary (+2) or its equivalent examination are eligible for admission.

• Candidates having at least 50% marks in Higher Secondary (+2) or its equivalent examination are eligible for admission to D.El.Ed course. 
• There will be 5% relaxation in the qualifying marks for all reserved category/disabled candidates for admission. 
• Urdu candidates who pass the Maulvi examination with 50% marks will be eligible for admission in D.El.Ed course. 
• Candidates who have qualified in Vocational Course (10+2) or have qualified Intermediate (10+2) after Madhyama or Intermediate (10+2) after Fokania will be eligible for admission in D.El.Ed course. 
• Candidates having Shastri, Polytechnic, ITI, or any other qualification will not be eligible for admission in D.El.Ed course. 
• The minimum age limit of the candidate is 17 years (on the first date of the first month of the admission year) for all categories.
