Admission Details
a. For the candidate of Maharashtra State
In addition to the educational qualification as specified, candidates from Maharashtra state, as well as outside of Maharashtra state, are required to appear for JEE, MHT-CET to be eligible for admission through the Centralized Admission Process ( CAP).
b. For the candidate willing to take admission under the Management Quota
Candidates from Maharashtra State or as well as outside of Maharashtra State, having educational qualifications as specified by AICTE/DTE/ Government of Maharashtra are eligible for admission under Management quota seats. They should appear for the JEE, MHT-CET conducted by the competent authority.
c. For Diploma Candidate: (First Year)
After admission of candidates fulfilling the eligibility criteria mentioned in point a & b above, if vacancies exist after the cutoff date declared by the concerned Government Authority, the principal may admit diploma completed candidates who have passed diploma course in Engineering/technology with minimum of 45% marks for open category and 40% reserve category from Polytechnic colleges affiliated to MSBTE or AICTE approved autonomous Polytechnic in Maharashtra state. This section briefly explains the various stages and procedures adopted for the CAP. Candidates seeking admission to Engineering/Technology courses are required to appear for JEE (Main) 2015 (Paper 1) conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). For the academic year 2015-2016, the Competent Authority for Admissions in the state of Maharashtra shall conduct a total of three (3) rounds of Centralized Admission Process (CAP). The CAP shall consist of the first two (2) rounds of Centralized Allotment, wherein eligible candidates of respective rounds (both Maharashtra and All India) will fill & confirm fresh Online Option forms through their login for respective rounds. The Maharashtra Candidate eligible for All India Seats is required to submit only a single option form for both Maharashtra and All India Seats. The third round of CAP shall be conducted by counseling, only for the eligible Maharashtra State candidates.
Eligibility Criteria
Passed 10+2 examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Biology/ Technical Vocational subject/ Computer Science/ Information Technology/ Informatics Practices/ Agriculture/ Engineering Graphics/ Business Studies. Obtained at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates belonging to the reserved category) in the above subjects taken together. OR Passed Diploma (in Engineering and Technology) examination with at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category), subject to vacancies in the First Year, in case the vacancies at lateral entry are exhausted.
I. Passed Diploma Course in Engineering and Technology with at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates of backward class categories and Persons with Disability belonging to Maharashtra State only) in the appropriate branch of Engineering and Technology from an All India Council for Technical Education or Central or State Government approved Institution or its equivalent;
II. Passed B.Sc. Degree from a University Grants Commission (UGC) or Association of Indian Universities recognized University with at least 45% marks (40% in case of candidates of Backward class categories and Persons with Disability belonging to Maharashtra State only) and passed HSC with Mathematics as a subject. Provided that students belonging to this category shall clear the subjects of Engineering Graphics/ Engineering Drawing and Engineering Mechanics of the first year Engineering Program, along with the second year subjects
First Year :
Candidate should have passed HSC or Equivalent Exam with Physics, Maths & (Chemistry/ Biology/IT/Computer/etc).
Minimum score in maths group: (45% for Open Category students) & (40% for Reserved Category & Persons with Disability candidates)
Non Zero MHT-CET or JEE Score.
Direct Second Year :
Candidate should have passed Diploma with 50 % Marks (45% for Reserve category & Persons with Disability Candidates).
B.Sc Passed with 50 % Marks (45% for Reserve category & Persons with Disability Candidates) & have Mathematics Subject in HSC.
