• The candidate should qualify in JEE Main for admission to B.Tech Courses.
• For candidates belonging to the General category, a minimum of 45% Marks are required.
• For candidates belonging to the SC/ST category, a minimum of 40% Marks are required.

Admissions to the B.Tech programme are conducted as per the guidelines prescribed by the Joint Entrance Examination Odisha (JEE, Odisha).

• Candidates must qualify in JEE (Odisha) to be eligible for admission.
• 85% of seats are filled through entrance examination rankings.
• The remaining 15% of seats are allocated under the NRI quota based on merit at the institute level.

The following criteria are needed at the time of Admission/Joining for the B.Tech Program if the candidate has passed/appeared +2 Examination:

• The candidate has passed Matriculation / 10th Class 
• Candidate has passed/appeared +2 Examination

          OR 

• The candidate has passed/appeared in 3rd Year Diploma Examination

The Candidates should have a +2 Science background from a recognized board or equivalent, approved by BPUT.
