    Admission Details

    Admission to UG courses is based on the AP-EAMCET (Engineering, Agriculture, and Medical Common Entrance Test).

    Students who qualify in the EAMCET entrance test will be admitted strictly on a merit basis.

    Eligibility Criteria

    A candidate should have completed 16 years of age as on 31st December of the Academic Year for which the admissions are being conducted.
    • NRI Candidates (sons and daughters of NRIs) 5% Eligibility: A pass in the qualifying examination with not less than 50% of marks in the prescribed group subjects or 50% aggregate marks in the qualifying examination or CGPA equivalent to 5 on a scale of 10.
    • The remaining seats shall be filled with candidates, including those from other States and Union Territories, who have secured a rank at AIEEE and secured not less than 45% of marks in the prescribed group subjects in the qualifying examination.
    • The seats remaining unfilled from above shall be filled with eligible candidates on merit basis who have passed the qualifying examination (10+2) of the Board of Intermediate Education, A.P. with the prescribed group and obtained at least 45% marks in the prescribed group / 40% in case of candidates belonging to reserved categories and secured a rank at the Common Entrance Test.
    • The seats remaining unfilled from (ii), (iii) & (iv) above shall be filled with candidates on a merit basis, securing not less than 45% (40% in case of reserved categories) in the prescribed group subjects taken together / aggregate marks in the qualifying examination.

    • An additional 10% of intake are admitted to the 2nd Year B.Tech. course under the lateral entry scheme based on ECET rank.

    A candidate should possess the eligibility of 10+2 qualification from Board of Intermediate, Government of Andhra Pradesh with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry as his/her optional subjects, or any other equivalent examination recognized as equivalent thereto. A student to step in four-year degree course in Engineering except NRI quota must qualify in “Engineering, Agricultural Sciences And Medical Common Entrance Test” (EAMCET), a State-Level Entrance Test conducted by the Govt. Of Andhra Pradesh. Students who qualify in EAMCET entrance test will be admitted strictly on merit basis.

    The Convener of EAMCET admits on merit secured in Intermediate or an equivalent examination and the rank secured in the EAMCET.

    The Management admits candidates for the Management and NRI quota based on merit and should possess 50% (45% in case of candidates belonging to reserved categories) of aggregate marks in the qualifying examination (+2 or its equivalent).

    The Convener of ECET admits 20% of the candidates from the stream of Diploma Holders should pass in a diploma from Andhra Pradesh State Government or an equivalent examination.
