Admission Details
Qualifying EAPCET Exam is compulsory to get admission into B.Tech courses through the counselling quota. In every branch, 70% of seats are filled through web counselling. The remaining 30% of seats in every branch are filled by management (B category or Management Quota).
Admissions to B. Tech is done through a common entrance test (EAMCET) conducted by the State Government.
• 70 % of the seats are allotted based on merit in the EAMCET.
• 30 % of the seats are earmarked for Management/NRI candidates.
• In addition to the above, Diploma holders are admitted in the second year of B. Tech to the extent of 20% of intake based on the merit in the ECET, under the lateral entry scheme.
Eligibility Criteria
The Candidate Passed the 10+2 examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects, along with one of the following subjects: Chemistry, Biotechnology, Biology, Technical Vocational, Computer Science, Information Technology, Informatics Practices, Agriculture, Engineering Graphics, or Business Studies. Obtained at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates belonging to the reserved category) in the above subjects taken together. OR Passed the Diploma (in Engineering and Technology) examination with at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category), subject to vacancies in the First Year, in case the vacancies at lateral entry are exhausted.
The minimum qualification for admission to the first year of the B. Tech course is a pass in the Intermediate (10 + 2) conducted by the board of Intermediate education, or any other examination recognized as equivalent thereto with Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry as optional subjects.
