    The students who have passed the II PUC/ XII Standard/ Equivalent Examination with English as one of the Languages and obtained a Minimum of 45% of Marks in aggregate in Physics and Mathematics, along with Chemistry / Bio-Technology/ Biology / Electronics / Computer. In the case of SC/ST and OBC (Cat-1, 2A, 2B, 3A, and 3B category) students from Karnataka (Karnataka candidates), the minimum marks for eligibility shall be 40 %. With regard to the qualification earned from foreign countries, an Equivalence certificate from the Association of Indian Universities is Mandatory for admission to the B.E. program. In case of any dispute about the equivalence in qualifications earned from foreign countries, the decision of the Equivalence Committee shall be the final in establishing the eligibility of the student. Those students who have passed a qualifying examination other than the PUC II examination of the Pre-University Education Board of Karnataka have to obtain an eligibility certificate for seeking admission to the B.E. Degree program from VTU, Belagavi.

    • An aggregate minimum of 45% Physics and Mathematics along with Chemistry / Bio-technology / Biology / Electronics / Computer marks forthe general category (40% for SC, ST, Cat-1, 2A, 2B, 3A and 3B category candidates) and 40% for in optional subjects in the qualifying examination is required.

    Lateral Entry:

    • Candidate must have a Diploma in any engineering discipline a minimum aggregate marks 45% in V & VI semesters (40% marks in case of SC/ST & OBC).
    • The candidates having a Diploma from Karnataka and coming through the CET cell are eligible for admission to the 3rd semester B.E. in the branch of their study in Diploma.
