• 70 % of the seats are allotted based on merit in the EAMCET.
• 30 % of the seats are earmarked for Management/NRI candidates.
• In addition to the above, Diploma holders are admitted in the second year of B. Tech to the extent of 20% of intake based on merit in the ECET, under the lateral entry scheme.

• A percentage of the seats are filled-in through EAMCET on basis of the rank secured by the candidates. EAMCET entrance test is conducted by the convener, who is appointed by the A.P State Council for Higher Education. 
• A percentage of the seats are filled-in by the management under NRI quota. The eligibility criterion for this quota is that, the candidates seeking admission should possess 60% overall or in group or in equivalent subjects. 
• Ten percent of the seats are filled at the Second year level through ECET lateral entry scheme on the basis of the rank secured by the candidate.

The minimum qualification for admission to the first year of the B. Tech course is a pass in the Intermediate (10 + 2) conducted by the board of Intermediate Education, Govt. of Telangana State or any other examination recognized as equivalent thereto with Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry as optional subjects.

Passed 10+2 examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Biology/ Technical Vocational subject/ Computer Science/ Information Technology/ Informatics Practices/ Agriculture/ Engineering Graphics/ Business Studies. Obtained at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) in the above subjects taken together. OR Passed Diploma (in Engineering and Technology) examination with at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) subject to vacancies in the First Year, in case the vacancies at lateral entry are exhausted.
