Admission to the college is governed by the guidelines of BPUT. All students who have passed +2 Science with Mathematics & Physics as core papers are eligible to appear in Joint Entrance Test (JEE). Qualified students are called to the counseling center of the University. As per the choice given by the students and the availability of seats in the college the students are asked to admit themselves to the University by paying part of the fees.

Must have qualified with a rank in the Odisha Joint Entrance Examination conducted by OJEE and JEE MAIN Board

Admission Policy for Lateral Entry: The institute can take students in this category maximum to an extent of 20% of the total capacity subject top 60% marks in the diploma in engineering examination. The students will have to qualify in JEE and get admission in 2nd year straightway.

Reservation: As per the state government legislation during counseling, there is a reservation of 30% for girl students, 2% for green card holders, and 15% for scheduled castes and scheduled tribes. BPUT considers these guidelines during the counseling of the students. However, it does not count for the institute seats available for all reserved categories during the time of admission.

Candidates must have passed class 12th examination from science stream with Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry/Biotechnology, Language and any other subject from recognized board.
