Admissions to the Institute are made along with the other engineering colleges in the state through a common entrance test conducted by the Govt. of Telangana / Andhra Pradesh.

• 70 % of the seats are allotted based on merit in the Engineering and Medical Common Entrance Test (TSEAMCET) conducted by the Govt. of Telengana /Andhra Pradesh.
• 30 % of the seats are earmarked for Management / NRI candidates.
• In addition to the above, Diploma holders are admitted in the second year of B.Tech to the extent of 10% of intake based on the merit in the Engineering Common Entrance Test (TSECET), under the lateral entry scheme conducted by the Govt. of Telangana / Andhra Pradesh.

The student should have passed the 10 + 2 with Maths, Physics, and Chemistry as their main stream and should obtain min of 50%.(i.e Inter – Group subjects) . 

Passed 10+2 examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Biology/ Technical Vocational subjects/ Computer Science/ Information Technology/ Informatics Practices/ Agriculture/ Engineering Graphics/ Business Studies. Obtained at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates belonging to the reserved category) in the above subjects taken together. OR Passed the Diploma (in Engineering and Technology) examination with at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates belonging to the reserved category), subject to vacancies in the First Year, if vacancies at lateral entry are exhausted.
