Directorate of Technical Education, Maharashtra State (DTE MS) has adopted the entrance examination MHT-CET conducted by Govt. of Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test Cell & JEE-Main conducted by Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSC).
Admission is based on the JEE, MHT-CET, and NEET Entrance Exams.
Eligibility Criteria
Passed 10+2 examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Biology/ Technical Vocational subject/ Computer Science/ Information Technology/ Informatics Practices/ Agriculture/ Engineering Graphics/ Business Studies. Obtained at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) in the above subjects taken together. OR Passed the Diploma (in Engineering and Technology) examination with at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) subject to vacancies in the First Year, in case the vacancies at lateral entry are exhausted.
(1) Maharashtra State Candidature Candidate.-
The candidate,-
(i) should be a citizen of India;
(ii) should have Passed 10+2 examination or its equivalent examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with Chemistry or Biotechnology or Biology or Technical Vocational subject or Computer Science or Information Technology or Informatics Practices or Agriculture or Engineering Graphics or Business Studies or Electronics or Entrepreneurship and obtained at least forty five per cent marks (at least forty per cent marks, in case of Reserved categories, Economically Weaker Section and Persons with Disability candidates belonging to the Maharashtra Information Brochure for Admission to Under Graduate and Post Graduate Technical Courses 16 State only) in the above subjects taken together and The Candidate should have appeared in all the subjects in PCM MHT-CET and obtained non zero score in PCM MHT-CET conducted by the Competent Authority; (There candidates are eligible to apply for all 29 major disciplines declared by AICTE) or
(iii)Should have passed 10+2 examination or its equivalent examination with Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects along with the Mathematics or Biotechnology or Biology or Technical Vocational subject or Computer Science or Information Technology or Informatics Practices or Agriculture or Engineering Graphics or Business Studies or Electronics or Entrepreneurship as one of the subject and obtained at least forty five per cent marks (at least forty per cent marks, in case of Reserved categories, Economically Weaker Section and Persons with Disability candidates belonging to the Maharashtra State only) in the above subjects taken together and the candidate should have appeared in all the subjects in MHT-CET and obtained non zero score in Physics, Chemistry and Biology (PCB) MHT-CET conducted by the Competent Authority is eligible for admission to any of the following Courses under major disciplines declared by concerned Appropriate Authority or All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), namely:-
(a)Agriculture Engineering;
(b)Biotechnology;
(c)Food Engineering;
(d)Leather Technology;
(e)Packaging Technology;
(f) Pharmaceutical Engineering;
(g)Printing Engineering;
(h)Fashion Technology; or
(i) Textile Chemistry;
(iv) Should have passed minimum three years Diploma in Engineering and Technology and obtained at least forty five per cent marks (at least forty per cent marks, in case of Reserved categories, Economically Weaker Section and Persons with Disability candidates belonging to the Maharashtra State only) ; or (v) Passed three years Diploma of Vocation (D.Voc.) stream in the same or allied sector;
(2) All India Candidature Candidates, Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir and Union Territory of Ladakh Migrant Candidature Candidates.-
The candidate,-
(i) should be a citizen of India ;
(ii) should have passed 10+2 examination or its equivalent examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with Chemistry or Biotechnology or Biology or Technical Vocational subject or Computer Science or Information Technology or Informatics Practices or Agriculture or Engineering Graphics or Business Studies or Electronics or Entrepreneurship and obtained at least forty-five per cent. marks (at least forty per cent. marks, in case of Reserved categories, Economically Weaker Section and Persons with Disability candidates belonging to Maharashtra State only) in the above subjects taken together and obtained non zero positive score in Joint Entrance Test (JEE) (Main) Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) or Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) or The Candidate should have appeared in all the subjects in PCM MHT-CET and obtained non zero score in PCM MHT-CET conducted by the Competent Authority: Provided that preference shall be given to the candidate obtaining non zero positive score in Joint Entrance Test (JEE) (Main) Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) or Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) over the candidates who obtained non zero score in PCM MHT CET ; (There candidates are eligible to apply for all 29 major disciplines declared by AICTE)
or
(iii)The candidate should have passed 10+2 examination or its equivalent examination with Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects along with Mathematics or Biotechnology or Biology or Technical Vocational subject or Computer Science or Information Technology or Informatics Practices or Agriculture or Engineering Graphics or Business Studies or Electronics or Entrepreneurship and obtained at least forty-five per cent. marks (at least forty per cent. marks, in case of Reserved categories, Economically Weaker Section and Persons with Disability candidates belonging to Maharashtra State only) in the above subjects taken together and obtained non zero positive score in Joint Entrance Test (JEE) (Main) Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) or Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) or National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) or the candidate should have appeared in all the subjects in MHT-CET (PCM or PCB) and obtained non zero score in MHT-CET conducted by the Competent Authority is eligible for admissions to the Courses under following major disciplines declared by relevant Appropriate Authority or All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), namely:-
(a)Agriculture Engineering;
(b)Biotechnology;
(c)Food Engineering;
(d)Leather Technology;
(e)Packaging Technology;
(f) Pharmaceutical Engineering;
(g)Printing Engineering;
(h)Fashion Technology; or
(i) Textile Chemistry:
Provided that, preference shall be given to the candidate obtaining a non-zero positive score in Joint Entrance Test (JEE) (Main) Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) or Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) or National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) over the candidates who obtained a non-zero score in MHT-CET 2025;
or
(iv) The candidate should have passed a minimum three-year Diploma in Engineering and Technology and obtained at least forty-five per cent marks (at least forty per cent marks, in case of Reserved categories, Economically Weaker Section and Persons with Disability candidates belonging to Maharashtra State only) ;
or
(v) Passed three years Diploma of Vocation (D.Voc.) Stream in the same or allied sector;
(3) Non-Resident Indian (NRI) or Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) or Person of Indian Origin (PIO), Children of Indian workers in the Gulf countries, Foreign National Candidature Candidate.-
(i) The candidate should have passed 10+2 examination or its equivalent examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry or Biotechnology or Biology or Technical Vocational subject or Computer Science or Information Technology or Informatics Practices or Agriculture or Engineering Graphics or Business Studies or Electronics or Entrepreneurship and obtained at least forty-five per cent. marks in the above subjects taken together; or
(ii) The candidate should have passed 10+2 examination or its equivalent examination with Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects along with one of the following subjects: Mathematics or Biotechnology or Biology or Technical Vocational subject or Computer Science or Information Technology or Informatics Practices or Agriculture or Engineering Graphics or Business Studies or Electronics or Entrepreneurship and obtained at least forty-five per cent. marks is eligible for admission to the Courses under the following Major Disciplines declared by the relevant Appropriate Authority or the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), namely:-
(a)Agriculture Engineering;
(b)Biotechnology;
(c)Food Engineering;
(d)Leather Technology;
(e)Packaging Technology;
(f) Pharmaceutical Engineering;
(g)Printing Engineering;
(h)Fashion Technology; or
(i) Textile Chemistry;
and
(iii)Any other eligibility conditions and requirements declared from time to time by the appropriate authority as defined under the Act.
