Admissions under Category ‘A’ (70%) are made by the Telangana Council of Higher Education through a common entrance test TS EAMCET.

Category ‘B’

Admissions under Category ‘B’ (30%) are made by the college based on merit as per the guidelines of TSCHE.

Lateral Entry into 2nd Year B.Tech

In addition to the above, diploma holders are admitted directly into the 2nd Year of B.Tech to the extent of 10% of intake based on the rank obtained in the Engineering Common Entrance Test (ECET), under the lateral entry scheme conducted by Govt. of Telangana.

The candidates who want to seek admission in SICET have to qualify in the EAMCET (Engineering, Agricultural, and Medical Common Entrance Test) examination conducted by the Government of TS. To be eligible for appearing in the EAMCET examination, the student should have passed the 10 + 2 with Maths, Physics, and Chemistry as their main stream and should obtain a minimum of 50%.(i.e Inter-Group subjects)

The Candidate should have passed 10+2 examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Biology/ Technical Vocational subject/ Computer Science/ Information Technology/ Informatics Practices/ Agriculture/ Engineering Graphics/ Business Studies. Obtained at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates belonging to the reserved category) in the above subjects taken together. OR Passed Diploma (in Engineering and Technology) examination with at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) subject to vacancies in the First Year, in case the vacancies at lateral entry are exhausted.

The student should have passed the 10 + 2 with Maths, Physics, and Chemistry as their mainstream and should obtain min of 50%.(i.e. Inter Group subjects).
