As per AP State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE) norms, 70% of students of UG and PG programs are admitted through centralized admissions organized by the Government (EAMCET for UG and GATE/PGECET for M.Tech). Advertisement is given by the institution in popular regional newspapers calling for applications for B-category seats. Merit list is prepared from the applications received, and placed on the notice boards. 20% of the seats for lateral entry admissions for diploma holders into the second year are made by the convener, E-CET.

The Candidate Passed the 10+2 examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects, along with one of the following subjects: Chemistry, Biotechnology, Biology, Technical Vocational, Computer Science, Information Technology, Informatics Practices, Agriculture, Engineering Graphics, or Business Studies. Obtained at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates belonging to the reserved category) in the above subjects taken together. OR Passed Diploma (in Engineering and Technology) examination with at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category), subject to vacancies in the First Year, in case the vacancies at lateral entry are exhausted.
