Admission Process Based on COMED-K/ KCET Entrance Test.

1. Admissions under K-CET are governed by the Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA).

• Conducted by the Government of Karnataka.

• Usually held in April or May.

• Notification published in leading newspapers and official portals.

• Rank calculated with:

  • 50% weightage from 2nd PUC / 12th marks

  • 50% weightage from KCET score

• Seat allotment through centralized KEA counselling.

• Seat Matrix published as per sanctioned intake.

 Applicable only for Karnataka domicile students.

A valid KCET score is mandatory for admission under the CET category.

2. Admissions under COMEDK are conducted by the Consortium of Medical, Engineering & Dental Colleges of Karnataka.

• National-level entrance examination.

• Usually conducted in April or May.

• Rank based solely on COMEDK entrance score.

• Centralized online counselling process.

• Seat Matrix published as per approved intake.

Open to students across India.

A valid COMEDK score is mandatory for admission under the COMEDK category.

Eligibility for Admission into I year B.E.:

• The Candidate should Pass in II PUC or equivalent examination securing not less than 50% of marks in aggregate with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with, one of the following subjects: Chemistry, Biotechnology, Computer Science, Biology or Electronics.

Admission for Lateral Entry into direct II Year:

• Pass in Diploma or equivalent examinations of Karnataka with 50% of marks in the final year in the appropriate branch of engineering.

The student who has passed:

• 2nd PUC / 10+2 / Equivalent examination

• Physics & Mathematics compulsory

• One of the following: Chemistry / Biology / Computer Science / Electronics

• English mandatory

Minimum Aggregate Marks:

• 45% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics (General Merit).

• 40% aggregate in PCM (SC/ST/OBC candidates of Karnataka).

• Must pass each subject individually.
