Admissions to B. Tech is done through a common entrance test (EAMCET) conducted by the State Government.
• 70 % of the seats are allotted based on merit in the EAMCET.
• 30 % of the seats are earmarked for Management/NRI candidates.
• In addition to the above, Diploma holders are admitted in the second year of B. Tech to the extent of 20% of intake based on the merit in the ECET, under the lateral entry scheme.

70% Admissions are taken under Convener Quota.
All the eligible candidates for admission into First Year shall have to qualify in the EAMCET Examination conducted by the Govt. of Telangana. The candidates will be admitted by EAMCET Convener strictly in accordance with the rank secured at the Entrance Examination and keeping the rules applicable in view, regarding the reservation of seats of various categories of candidates

The minimum qualification for admission to the first year of the B. Tech course is a pass in the Intermediate (10 + 2) conducted by the board of Intermediate education or any other examination recognized as equivalent thereto with Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry as optional subjects.
A student must have passed the Intermediate Examination of the Board of Intermediate Education, Government of Telangana with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry as optional subjects, or any other examination recognized by the Government of Telangana as its equivalent.
