    Admission is based on the KEAM entrance exam.

    Eligibility Criteria

    1. GOVT Quota

    50% of the seats of the sanctioned intake of students in B Tech courses are set apart for centralized allotment by the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations.
    Eligibility for Admission in Govt. Quota
    1a. Candidates who have passed Higher Secondary Examination, Kerala, or Examinations recognized as equivalent thereto, with 50% marks in Mathematics separately, and 50 % marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM), put together, are eligible for Govt quota admission.
    Note:-

    (i) In two-year Kerala Higher Secondary courses or examinations recognized as equivalent thereto with a two-year course where the Board Examinations are conducted in both years, the total marks of two years in the respective subjects as shown in the mark lists of the respective Higher Secondary Boards will be considered for academic eligibility.
    (ii) In Higher Secondary courses or examinations recognised as equivalent thereto where the Board

    Examinations are conducted only at the end of the 12th class (final year), the marks in the respective subjects, as shown in the mark lists of the respective Higher Secondary Boards, will be considered for academic eligibility.
    (iii) For all other types of Higher Secondary courses or examinations recognised as equivalent thereto, the marks of the respective subjects as shown in the mark list of the respective Board of Examinations will be considered for academic eligibility.*
    *Refer to KEAM Prospectus 2026, Clause 6.2.2
    1b.He/ she shall be qualified in the Kerala Engineering Entrance Examination 2026.
     

    2. Management Quota

    (i) Candidates who have passed Higher Secondary Examination, Kerala, or Examinations, with marks in Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry put together are eligible for admission. However, candidates who have passed Higher Secondary Examination, Kerala, or Examinations recognized as equivalent thereto, with 45% marks in Mathematics, Physics,  and Chemistry put together are eligible for admission under Management Quota in Private Self Financing Engineering Colleges/Government Controlled Self Financing Engineering Colleges.
    In case the candidates have not studied Chemistry, the marks obtained in Computer Science shall be considered.
    In case the candidate has not studied Chemistry and Computer Science, the marks obtained in Biotechnology shall be considered.
    In case the candidate has not studied Chemistry, Computer Science, and Biotechnology, the marks obtained in Biology shall be considered.
    The marks as shown in the mark list of the Board of Examination obtained from the respective Higher Secondary Board shall be considered for academic eligibility.
     

    3. NRI Quota

    15% of the seats of the sanctioned intake are provided for the NRI category and allotted to children and dependants of NRIs based on marks obtained for PCM in the qualifying examination. These students are admitted by the Management based on their academic eligibility as per University norms and are exempted from qualifying in the Kerala Engineering Entrance Examination 2026.
    Note: (i) In two-year Kerala Higher Secondary courses or examinations recognized as equivalent thereto with a two-year course where the Board Examinations are conducted in both years, the total marks of two years in the respective subjects as shown in the mark lists of the respective Higher Secondary Boards will be considered for academic eligibility.

    4. Lateral Entry

    • 3-year diploma holders in Engineering having 50% marks in the final diploma examination are also eligible for admission to the second year BTech.

    The Candidate should Passed 10+2 examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Biology/ Technical Vocational subject/ Computer Science/ Information Technology/ Informatics Practices/ Agriculture/ Engineering Graphics/ Business Studies. Obtained at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) in the above subjects taken together. OR Passed Diploma (in Engineering and Technology) examination with at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) subject to vacancies in the First Year, in case the vacancies at lateral entry are exhausted.
