Admission is based on all the students under the government quota allotted through single window counseling by Tamil Nadu Engineering Admission (TNEA).
Government of Tamil Nadu makes admissions to B.E. / B.Tech. Courses of all the affiliated colleges through a common merit list of candidates administered by Anna University, Chennai.
Eligibility Criteria
Passed 10+2 examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Biology/ Technical Vocational subject/ Computer Science/ Information Technology/ Informatics Practices/ Agriculture/ Engineering Graphics/ Business Studies. Obtained at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) in the above subjects taken together. OR Passed Diploma (in Engineering and Technology) examination with at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) subject to vacancies in the First Year, in case the vacancies at lateral entry are exhausted.
Tamilnadu Candidates
The candidates must have passed the 12th standard(intermediate) or its equivalent examination from the Government recognized board with the subjects as Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics with the percentage as 45% (for general candidates), 40% (for backward class including Muslim), 40% (MBC & DNC) and 40% (for SC/ST/SCA) candidates.
Other State Candidates
As the candidates from other states are considered under General Category, a pass with minimum average marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics put together as 45% (General Category).
NRI (Non-Resident Indian Category)
The candidate should have passed in all the subjects and scored a minimum average of 45% in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics put together as in General Category.
FN (Foreign National Category)
The candidate should have passed in all the subjects and scored a minimum average of 45% in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics put together.
