Candidates should qualify in the Engineering Entrance Examination (KEAM) conducted by the Commissioner for Entrance Examination, Govt of Kerala

Admission to all the seats in this institution is through the Central Counseling by the Govt. of Kerala. Candidates admitted are those allotted by the commissioner of Entrance Examinations, Kerala based on the Common Entrance Examination to professional courses of the respective years applying the principles of mandatory reservation. For this academic year, 60% of seats are treated as free seats and filled by the allotment of the Commissioner of Entrance Examinations, and out of the balance, 35% Management Quota is allotted by the Commissioner of Entrance Examination, and 5% NRI is filled up by the CAPE. For the Management Quota, mandatory reservation principles, eligibility rules, and fees are as prescribed by Govt. of Kerala and the affiliated University.  

• Nationality: Applicants must be citizens of India.
• Candidates who have passed the Higher Secondary Examination, Kerala, or Examinations recognized as equivalent thereto, with 50% marks in Mathematics separately, and 50% marks in Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry or equivalent put together, are eligible for admission. However, candidates who have passed HSE/Equivalent with 45% marks in Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry put together are eligible for admission under the Management Quota. In case the candidate has not studied Chemistry, marks obtained in Computer Science/Biotechnology/Biology shall be considered. The marks as shown in the mark list of the Board of Examinations of the respective board shall be considered for academic eligibility. For candidates belonging to SC/ST/ SEBC and the candidates included in the PwD quota list published by the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations, the minimum marks required for admission shall be 5% less than that prescribed for the general category. 
• Age: Applicants should be 17 years of age.

The Candidates who have passed the Higher Secondary Examination, Kerala, or Examinations recognized as equivalent thereto, with 45 % marks in Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry put together are eligible for admission to the B.Tech Course.

• In case, the candidate has not studied Chemistry, the marks obtained in Computer Science shall be considered.  
• In case, the candidate has not studied Chemistry and Computer Science, the marks obtained in Biotechnology shall be considered.
• In case, the candidate has not studied Chemistry, Computer Science, and Biotechnology, the marks obtained in Biology shall be considered.      

The marks as shown in the mark list of the Board of Examination obtained from the respective Higher Secondary Board shall be considered for academic eligibility.
In the case of SC/ST candidates only a pass in the Higher Secondary examination (Class XII) with the above subjects. The candidates shall also satisfy the conditions regarding physical fitness as may be prescribed by the University.
