Government of Tamil Nadu makes admissions to B.E. / B.Tech. Courses of all the affiliated colleges through a common merit list of candidates administered by Anna University, Chennai.
The Admission Procedure is based on the first year and will be based on the Merit list generated since SIST is exempted from CUET(Common University Entrance Test)as per the notice issued by the Education Department.
Eligibility Criteria
The candidates must have passed the 12th standard (intermediate) or its equivalent examination from the Government recognized board with the subjects as Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics with the percentage as 45% (for general candidates), 40% (for backward class including Muslim), 40% (MBC & DNC) and 40% (for SC/ST/SCA) candidates.
As the candidates from other states are considered under General Category, a Pass with minimum average marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics put together as 45% (General Category)
The candidate should have passed in all the subjects and scored a minimum average of 45% in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics put together as in General Category

Passed Diploma examination with at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) in any branch of Engineering and Technology
Passed 10+2 with Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry as compulsory subjects and obtained at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates belonging to the reserved category) in the above subjects taken together.
OR
Passed a minimum of three years Diploma examination with at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates belonging to the reserved category) subject to vacancies in the First Year.
Lateral Entry:
Passed Minimum THREE years / TWO years (Lateral Entry) Diploma examination with at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) in ANY branch of Engineering and Technology.
