The EAMCET Admissions exam is based on the rank secured by students in the Entrance Examinations.

Candidates have to be successful in SRSAT (SR Scholastic Assessment Test)/ JEE-Main/ State Level Engineering Entrance Exams across India including TS EAMCET/ Merit in Sports/ Cultural Activities.

Eligibility Criteria

The meaning and the eligibility for admission into that category are given below:

Category-A Seats: 70% of the total intake is earmarked for this category. These seats are filled by the Convenor, EAMCET Admissions, based on the ranks secured by students in the Entrance Examinations. To be admitted in this category, the candidate should have passed the qualifying exam (10+2) or its equivalent.
Category-B Seats: 30% of the Intake is earmarked for this category. These seats are filled at the College level as per the guidelines issued by the State Government.
Lateral Entry Seats Direct Admission into Second Year of B.Tech. ): 10% of the total intake is earmarked for Direct admission into B.Tech.Tech II year under Lateral Entry. These seats are filled by the Convenor, ECET Admissions, based on the students' ranks in the Entrance Examinations.

Candidate should obtain at least 55% marks in 10+2 (Telangana students) and 50% marks (students from other states) in the subjects specified taken together
Students with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM) are eligible for all B.Tech. programs.
