The Government of Tamilnadu has authorized Anna University for conducting the Tamilnadu Common Entrance Test (TANCET) and GATE for admission to M.E./ M.Tech.

Applications can be registered online for the Tamilnadu Common Entrance Test.

a. A pass in a recognised Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in the relevant field and obtained at least 50 % (45 % in the case of candidates belonging to reserved category) in the qualifying degree examination.

(i) B.E./B.Tech./B.Arch

 (or)

 (ii) Master’s Degree in the relevant branch of Science / Arts,  which are prescribed.

b. (i) 10+2+AMIE

 (or)

(ii) 10+3 years diploma (awarded by the State Board of Technical Education) + AMIE.

The candidate has a Passed Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in the relevant field. Obtained at least 50% marks (45% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) in the qualifying Examination.
