The Government of Tamilnadu has authorized Anna University for conducting the Tamilnadu Common Entrance Test (TANCET) and GATE for admission to M.E./ M.Tech.

Applications can be registered online for the Tamilnadu Common Entrance Test.

Admissions to all P.G. courses ME in all affiliated colleges are made by the Government of Tamil Nadu through TANCET (Tamilnadu Common Entrance Test) administered by Anna University, Chennai.

a. A pass in a recognised Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in the relevant field and obtained at least 50 % (45 % in the case of candidates belonging to reserved category) in the qualifying degree examination.

(i) B.E./B.Tech./B.Arch

 (or)

 (ii) Master’s Degree in the relevant branch of Science / Arts,  which are prescribed.

b. (i) 10+2+AMIE

 (or)

(ii) 10+3 years diploma (awarded by the State Board of Technical Education) + AMIE.

Passed Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in the relevant field. Obtained at least 50% marks (45% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) in the qualifying Examination.
