All the candidates seeking admission to B.Arch shall pass the National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) conducted by the Council of Architecture, New Delhi. Currently, the passing marks are 80 out of 200 in the NATA. This requirement is to be fulfilled by all candidates including those belonging to scheduled castes, scheduled tribes, and other classified groups.

Appeared and qualified in the aptitude test in architecture conducted either by NTA (i.e., JEE) or NATA conducted by the Council of Architecture.

Admission for the first year of the course shall be open to the students who have passed the two years Pre-University examination conducted by the Karnataka State Pre-University Board with Mathematics as a subject of study.

OR

Candidates who possess an International Baccalaureate Diploma, after 10 years of schooling, with not less than 50% marks in aggregate and with Mathematics as a compulsory subject of the exam.

OR

10+2 of the Central Board of Secondary Education (C.B.S.E.) with Mathematics as a subject of study.

OR

Those who have passed any other examination recognized by the University as equivalent thereto.

OR

The three year Diploma Holders in any stream recognized by Government of Karnataka, or any other State Govt. or Central government or any other Diploma qualification considered equivalent to this by the University, who have secured not less than 50% of the aggregate marks are eligible for admission to the first year of B.Arch course. However, there shall not be any exemption of any subject at the B.Arch degree course

No candidate shall be admitted to the architecture course unless he/she passed an examination at the end of the 10 + 2 scheme (i.e., 12th Std or II-PUC) of examination, with a minimum eligibility score of at least 45%. Aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics, also at least passed with a minimum score of 45% marks in aggregate of the 10+2 level examination, or passed 10+3 Diploma examination with Mathematics as a compulsory subject with at least 50 % Marks in the aggregate.
