This section briefly explains the various stages and procedures adopted for the CAP. Candidates seeking admission to Engineering/Technology courses are required to appear for JEE (Main) 2015 (Paper 1) conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). For the academic year 2015-2016, the Competent Authority for Admissions in the state of Maharashtra shall conduct a total of three (3) rounds of Centralized Admission Process (CAP). The CAP shall consist of the first two (2) rounds of Centralized Allotment, wherein eligible candidates of respective rounds (both Maharashtra and All India) will fill & confirm fresh Online Option forms through their login for respective rounds. The Maharashtra Candidate eligible for All India Seats is required to submit only a single option form for both Maharashtra and All India Seats. The third round of CAP shall be conducted by counseling, only for the eligible Maharashtra State candidates.
Eligibility Criteria
Maharashtra State Candidature Candidate:
i. The Candidate should be an Indian National;
ii. Passed HSC or its equivalent examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry or Biotechnology or Biology or Technical or Vocational subjects and obtained at least 50 % marks (at least 45% marks, in case of Backward class categories and Persons with Disability candidates belonging to Maharashtra State only) in the above subjects taken together.
Or
iii. Passed Diploma in Engineering and Technology and obtained at least 50% marks (at least 45 % marks, in case of Backward class categories and Persons with Disability candidates belonging to Maharashtra State only).
Or
iv. Passed B.Sc. Degree from a Recognised University as defined by UGC and obtained at least 50 % marks (at least 45 % marks, in case of Backward class categories and Persons with Disability candidates belonging to Maharashtra State only).
All India Candidature Candidates, Jammu and Kashmir Migrant Candidature Candidates:
i. The Candidate should be an Indian National.
ii. Passed HSC or its equivalent examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry or Biotechnology or Biology or Technical or Vocational subjects and obtained at least 50 % marks (at least 45 % marks, in case of Backward class categories and Persons with Disability candidates belonging to Maharashtra State only) in the above subjects taken together.
Or
iii. Passed Diploma in Engineering and Technology and obtained at least 50 % marks (at least 45 % marks, in case of Backward class categories and Persons with Disability candidates belonging to Maharashtra State only).
Or
iv. Passed B.Sc. Degree from a Recognised University as defined by the University Grants Commission and obtained at least 50 % marks (at least 45 % marks, in case of Backward class categories and Persons with Disability candidates belonging to Maharashtra State only).
Children of NRI / OCI / PIO, Children of Indian workers in the Gulf countries, Foreign National:
i. The candidate should have passed the HSC or its equivalent examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry, Biotechnology, Biology, Technical, or Vocational subjects and obtained at least 50 % marks.
ii. Any other criteria declared by the appropriate authority from time to time.
First Year :
Candidate should have passed HSC or Equivalent Exam with Physics, Maths & (Chemistry/ Biology/IT/Computer/etc).
Minimum score in maths group: (45% for Open Category students) & (40% for Reserved Category & Persons with Disability candidates)
Non Zero MHT-CET or JEE Score.
Direct Second Year :
Candidate should have passed Diploma with 50 % Marks (45% for Reserve category & Persons with Disability Candidates).
B.Sc Passed with 50 % Marks (45% for Reserve category & Persons with Disability Candidates) & have Mathematics Subject in HSC.
