Admission process

BE/BTech Degree Programme - First Year
Based on the cut-off marks from the higher secondary (10+2) examination.
Cut-off mark = 200 (100 for Mathematics and 100 for Physics + Chemistry)
BE/BTech Degree Programme - Direct Second Year Lateral Entry
Based on the percentage marks obtained in the Diploma (10+3/12+2) examination.

Admission shall be on merit basis of marks obtained in the qualifying examination and or in the entrance examination or any other selection process as per the policy of the State Government/UT administration and the University.

Passed 10+2 examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Biology/ Technical Vocational subject/ Computer Science/ Information Technology/ Informatics Practices/ Agriculture/ Engineering Graphics/ Business Studies. Obtained at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) in the above subjects taken together. OR Passed Diploma (in Engineering and Technology) examination with at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) subject to vacancies in the First Year, in case the vacancies at lateral entry are exhausted.

Candidates with at least fifty percent marks either in the Bachelor's Degree and Master's Degree in Sciences/Social Sciences/Humanity, Bachelor's in Engineering or Technology with specialization in Science and Mathematics with 55% marks or any other qualification, equivalent thereto, are eligible for admission to the program.
